Música: In the Name

“The image never left my head. The first war I was ever aware of was when George Bush Junior decided to invade Iraq. It was also one of my first independent trips to the pub. Everyone who was partying stopped to watch the bombs fall in Bagdad. That made a big impact on me, I […]

Poema Musical: The Night

Testimonies “I didn’t have much ambition with my poetry. I thought Rock & Roll had replaced poetry entirely and it was a dead medium. I always knew there were limitations to the transaction though, but it wasn’t until Lincoln did one of my poems that I discovered there was another way, a way to bring […]

Oh there you are, and how […]

Poema: Beyond This Carrot

Release Date: 22 November, 2012 Beyond this carrot,Above the activism of the perfect world you keep under your bedWith rainbows on the ceiling and ponies flying across the wall In the endless platform between the many trains we take unknowinglyThe shame that binds every moment we fake unwillingly The fame of the sailor who explores […]

Poema Musical: The Posted Sign

In between the belly button of time and mine Lies everything. I bypassed a few lovers when my focus was too clear I couldn’t hear the desperate shouts so near, I couldn’t benefit from loving fear When I dimmed the light I unleashed a fight between heaven and Earth, For without the shadows the Garden […]

Poema Musical: Before Your Bloom

Getting too old before your bloom,Saving the world before your room,It isn’t bold.It is escapism,A self-constructed prison. Sometimes we must improvise,Colonise the unknown woods,Pretend we’re doing good,Our orders misunderstood.“The savages were animals, sir.I only remember a blur.I saw no women and childrenOnly games that were forbidden” But we awake from weaknessFor the bleakness’ sake. For we […]

Poema Musical: Have Me Too (On the Prowl)

Release Date: 5 December, 2011 Why couldn’t she have me too?As the sky turned blue,As I acted foolishly,Begging for mercy,The crowds dispersingBefore my wounded nose. Not even the cold was thereTo distract despair.I didn’t want to go homeNot alone…I asked for her telephoneAnd she lied to meLike a conspiracy to have me offLike the bad actor’s […]

Música: Beat the Drums

“This song has a lot of history, it’s been in the hands of great men. It was the first song that convinced Tony Calder, ex-manager of the Rolling Stones, to work with me. I was just sitting at his office, having a chat about some intense subject or other, as per usual, and I put […]

Música: Bird on a Wire

Unreleased lyrics Like a bird on the wireLike a drunk in a midnight choirI have tried in my way to be freeLike a worm on a hookLike a knight from some old-fashioned bookI have saved all my ribbons for theeIf I, if I have been unkindI hope that you can just let it go byIf […]

Música: Let the Rain Fall (Chove Chuva)

Buy at: eronfalbo.bandcamp.com/ [Recorded at DARK HORSE (Nashville) 2009.11.14, Unreleased] “The great Jorge Ben! Probably no Brazilian artist ever influenced me as much as he. Peculiar lyricist, sometimes gloriously deep, sometimes painfully simple. This song seems like it was written for different lyrics. The melody and vocal performance are rather intense, while the lyrics are […]
